Mahavir Jayanti is the birthday of Lord Mahavir who was the son of Siddhartha and Trehala, Mahaveer also known as Vardhman the greatest prophets of peace, Mahaveer was the son of king Siddhartha he was a fearful which earn him title Mahavira.  Lord Mahavira got Enlighten under Ashoka tree while meditating.
Prince Vardaman everything including attachment of families, friends, relatives and distributed his wealth among the poor and he meditated in pure nature. Lord Mahaveer’s teaching was, he believed that people can save their soul with nonviolence against all living creatures.  people practicing Jainism are pure vegetarian and follow their teaching includes non-killing speaking of truth no greed etc.

On this auspicious day Jain visit their Temple where festival is held and read Jain scriptures. Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated as anniversary of Vardhman Mahavir as he is the leader of Jain religion.   The idol of Lord Mahavir is carried out on a chariot and Raised flag of Jainism.
Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated in Temple by decorating the temple and by flying the flag of Lord Mahavir, devotee have a traditional Holy bath and Abhishek of deity of Lord Mahaveer.
